Barluath - Free Fringe Music seriesCommunity
13 August 14:00 - 17:00
Live Music Now Scotland is delighted to present another programme of afternoon concerts in partnership with National Museums Scotland, to run during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world.
Traditional Scottish folk band
Barluath are a Glasgow-based Scottish folk band, combining Scots and Gaelic song, Highland and Border bagpipes, whistle, clarinet, fiddle, piano and guitar. The band released their debut album Source in 2012 to critical acclaim, and followed up with their second album At Dawn of Day released in 2015.
The theme for this year’s Free Fringe Music programme of traditional Scottish songs and instrumental sets will be Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobites, tying in with the Museum’s major exhibition, “a compelling story of loyalty, loss, rebellion and retribution”.
