Cold cases are unsolved criminal investigations that can be re-opened if new evidence emerges. Many such notable cases have been re-opened in recent years in Scotland, delivering justice for crimes often committed in the distant past.
Frank Mulholland is a Senator of the College of Justice. From 2011 to 2016 he was the Lord Advocate, the chief law officer of Scotland, and he previously served as the Solicitor General from 2007 to 2011. Over the course of an illustrious career, Lord Mulholland has been involved in a number of high-profile criminal cases and has been highly-decorated by the law profession and civil society.
