Aonach Mor - Free Fringe Music series closing concertCommunity
27 August 14:00 - 17:00
Live Music Now Scotland is delighted to present another programme of afternoon concerts in partnership with National Museums Scotland, to run during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world.
Traditional instrumental/vocal trio
Aonach Mòr combine the talents of Grant McFarlane, Robyn Stapleton & Ron Jappy to create an exciting blend of songs and tunes for this Free Fringe Music closing concert. With accordion, fiddle, guitar, piano and song, they draw on a wealth of traditional material whilst adding contemporary melodies and new works.
The theme for this year’s Free Fringe Music programme of traditional Scottish songs and instrumental sets will be Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobites, tying in with the Museum’s major exhibition, “a compelling story of loyalty, loss, rebellion and retribution”.
