Award-winning fiddler, violinist, and composer Jeremy Kittel has worked with everyone from My Morning Jacket to Yo-Yo Ma to Bela Fleck. The Compass Records recording artist is a master of Scottish, Irish, classical, jazz, and bluegrass traditions, and is gifted in fusing and revitalizing styles. A member of the Turtle Island Quartet for five years, he also performs as a guest artist with symphony orchestras and was twice featured on A Prairie Home Companion. Kittel performs with leading virtuosos Joshua Pinkham on mandolin and Quinn Bachand on guitar.

    Patsy Reid

Sixteen years ago, Patsy Reid made her Scots Fiddle Festival debut as a soloist. Since then, the Perthshire fiddle player has been in much demand as a session musician, collaborating and recording with the likes of Kathryn Tickell, Zakir Hussain, Julie Fowlis, Donald Shaw and Duncan Chisholm.

Fellow fiddle player Aidan O’Rourke of Lau said: “She has an accuracy and tone that many fiddlers only dream of. She has truly mastered her instrument and has developed a unique style, which seems to grow in depth and maturity each time I hear her.”

2017 will see her fourth release, The Other Side - her debut as a songwriter, which promises an exciting, new direction to her music.

Patsy is delighted and excited to be returning to the festival under her own steam once again, and will be appearing with her 4-piece band, featuring Ewan MacPherson, Signy Jakobsdóttir and Alistair Iain Paterson.
