Weekend Workshop: Art of AdjustmentsSports
29 July 09:00 - 11:00
This workshop is taught by senior teacher, Karen Kirkness. It will run on the 29th - 30th of July 2017 from 9am - 5pm at Meadowlark Yoga.
Adjustments to yoga poses can take a variety of forms, including physical, verbal and even energetic cues. In making hands-on adjustments, it is imperative to realise that you are adjusting a student, not an Asana.
In this workshop, open to both students and teachers, we will will work with this increased sensitivity toward each individual in a pose, as well as exploring the teacher's own understanding of the Asana itself through personal experience.
This 2-day Workshop with Avid Yogi is perfect for serious students of Yoga and teachers seeking to develop their offering and gain CPD hours with Yoga Alliance.
The 16 hours offered in this Weekend Workshop can be applied to make-up hours for Meadowlark Yoga Teacher Trainees.
Over the course of two days, this workshop will take students through an exploration of safe and intelligent adjustments, an understanding of what the intention or quality of each Asana contains and where a student is in his or her own journey of understanding and experiencing a pose and what level of information they can eventually absorb from the adjustment.
This weekend workshop counts for 16 CPD points with Yoga Alliance USA or Yoga Alliance Professionals UK.
The full weekend costs £200.
