  • James Aldred is the real deal. You may not know the name, but you’ve seen his work.

As an Emmy Award-winning wildlife cameraman and adventurer, he travels the world filming for landmark BBC programmes such as Planet Earth and Human Planet, working with David Attenborough and a host of other nature presenters including Chris Packham, Helen Macdonald, Steve Backshall and Kate Humble.

James’s job, and passion, is scaling the world’s most amazing trees to capture remarkable footage of the wildlife there. He describes it all vividly in his new book The Man Who Climbs Trees, a love letter to the natural world which blends beautiful photography and incredible stories.

From facing king cobras to contending with a mischievous orangutan trying to undo his climbing knots, James has done it all in pursuit of those unbelievable shots we see on TV.

In this event he shares some more wonders from the world.
