Hatha Yoga is generally considered to be the foundational basis for most Western styles of yoga - a combination of physical poses (asana), breath-work (pranayama), meditation and philosophy are combined to create a practice that is both stimulating and gentle on the body, and is designed to leave you feeling relaxed and calm.
In this workshop, I will draw on the Hatha yoga training that I received while living in an ashram in South India - we will begin with seated meditation, a little introduction to Vedic chants, before moving through a traditional Hatha yoga sequence, incorporating core work, asana and supine
Throughout the workshop, we will weave threads of yogic philosophy and discover how these ideas apply directly to our modern yoga practice, maintaining the incredible lineage of this sacred practice.
