Sonic Seascape: Adventure Workshop
Join us for this Festival of Museums Event. Gathering inspiration from the work of Robert Callender, this workshop is suitable for all-ages and skill levels. It will encourage participants to creatively engage with both organic and inorganic materials that litter the tideline, and their connections to emerging global environmental issues. Using a variety of recycled materials, including plastic bottle, sheets and beads, various types of paper and imaginative play, the participants of this workshop will engage with mimicking the sounds of the British coastline. Using visual references with corresponding sounds of seabirds, seagrass, wind, rain and boats, the participants will engage with the skills of the 'Foley' artist to record and document this complex array of environmental contexts. Play, learn and have fun with the provided materials to create a collaborative soundscape. With artist Jake Bee. Suitable for families. Free, drop in, no need to book.
