  • Tribe Yoga Quartermile is delighted to announce that Dylan Werner will be in Edinburgh the first week of August 2017.

    Together with Dylan we will be offering 4 strong workshops designed to challenge your own personal practice and develop new skills and understanding.

    About Dylan:

    Dylan was born and raised in the mountains of Southern California. Having a passion for healthy living and an active lifestyle, he dedicated his life to pursuing this way of living. With a background in wrestling, rock climbing, martial arts and health and fitness, Dylan found yoga to be a culmination of everything he loves. He was first introduced to yoga through his martial arts training in 2001. Dylan started teaching yoga in 2011 after 10 years of advanced movement training. He has since lead teacher trainings and workshops all over the world and is a globally recognized yoga instructor.

    Dylan looks to bring awareness through motion and balance, to find strength in flexibility and bring union between the body and soul. His style is fun, energetic and challenging. He believes that strength, balance, flexibility and health are achieved every time we step on the mat and it’s the beauty of yoga that helps us translate that to our everyday lives.

    Workshops:

    Beyond Balance Vinyasa Class | Saturday August 5th | 10.00 to 12.00

    A strong all level flow class designed to challenge you through creative sequencing and some tricky transitions that will take your practice to the next level. This fun and vigorous class has plenty of opportunities for inversions and arm balances as well as deep stretches to leave you feeling strong and balanced.

    (2-hour workshop) All levels

    Arm Balance Evolution | Saturday August 5th | 15.00 to 18.00

    This class is about getting on your hands and exploring the edge that arm balances can bring you to. By building a solid foundation and understanding the simple concepts of strength and stability, you will build trust, self-confidence and the ability to evolve your practice. We will play around with several arm balances and different ways to enter and hold them. From a stable foundation we’ll add transitions from arm balance to arm balance, headstands to arm balances and possibly even handstand transitions and one hand arm balances for those that are ready.

    (3-hour workshop)

    Inverting the Backbend | Sunday August 6th | 10.00 to 12.00

    A strong all level flow class designed to challenge you through creative sequencing and some tricky transitions that will take your practice to the next level. This fun and vigorous class has plenty of opportunities for inversions and arm balances as well as deep stretches to leave you feeling strong and balanced.

    (2-hour workshop) All levels

    Power of Breath | Sunday August 6th | 15.00 to 17.00

    In this pranayama workshop, we will explore how to utilize our breath fully and the power of kumbhaka. Understand the anatomy of lungs and supporting breathing muscles. How you can increase energy flow with apana and prana. How to gain more power, control and focus through breath. How to expand lung capacity, increase breath efficiency and harness the power of breath to advance our strength and practice.

    (2-hour workshop) All Levels

    Please note the following:

    Dylan prefers to maintain a 'close' room to remove spatial boundaries. So be prepared to be a little closer to your neighbour than you might normally be used to at either studio.

    Workshops are not refundable but are transferrable in case you have purchased and can no longer attend.

    Workshop pricing is £120 for all 4 workshops and £40 for individual workshops. Tickets will be released on June 1st 2017.
